This day driving excursion from London is a real treat, as we get to explore a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Stonehenge, and walk around the cloisters of one of England's most impressive cathedrals in the famous ancient market town of Salisbury.

We will first take a 2 hour drive from London out into the beautiful English countryside to visit probably the most famous and mysterious stone circle on the planet, Stonehenge. We will spend up to 2 hours here, giving us plenty of time to explore the stones and enjoy the various exhibitions and displays at the visitor centre. We will then take a 45 minute drive, stopping en route for lunch (costs not included) to visit the 13th century gothic cathedral which is home to one of only 4 copies of the Magna Carta; Salisbury Cathedral.

Salisbury Cathedral is a Gothic masterpiece, with outstanding stonework and the tallest spire in Great Britain. It is home to one of only four original copies of the Great Charter of 1215 (more commonly known as the Magna Carta), which is the very foundation of national constitutions in the UK and USA.
