 Bath

The city is so beautiful and unique that it has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. Bath is independent, creative, unique and stylish. The only place in the UK with naturally heated mineral baths, making it the ultimate spa break destination for thousands of years. The Georgian architecture built in honey coloured stone is exquisite. There are Roman Baths to enjoy and the famous Assembly Rooms about which the novelist Jane Austen wrote so fondly (entry fee to site not included).

From your central London hotel we shall head directly to the City of Bath, a journey of about 2 hours. On arrival we will take a walk through this amazing city. You will see highlights such as the Roman baths, Bath Abbey, the Assembly Rooms and the Fashion Museum and some of the most exquisite Georgian architecture in England.

After lunch we will leave Bath for the journey to Stonehenge to view the Stones and the magical landscape and learn about the people involved in it's construction and its meaning.

Stonehenge is possibly the most famous prehistoric monument in the world. Consisting of a ring of standing stones that have fascinated archaeologists, historians and the general public for many years. There are many different theories about when it was built, but most agree it was between 2000 and 3000 BC. Today Stonehenge is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and it is one of the Seven Wonders of the Medieval World.

We will walk in the footsteps of our Neolithic ancestors, and enjoy the Stonehenge Exhibition at the fantastic English Heritage’s Visitor Centre
